Dr. Mark I. Groskin

Syracuse-born Mark Groskin attended Yeshiva University in New York City as an undergraduate, where he decided to become a dentist. He received his degree in dentistry at the Howard University College of Dentistry. His practice has been offering Dental Care in Rochester New York and adjoining communities for over two decades.

Social and charitable activities are a part of Mark’s life that finds their roots in his deep, disciplined, life-long commitment to religious observance and service.

From popular Rochester New York dentist to “The Three Stooges’ greatest fan,” from serious martial arts student to educational fund-raiser, from award-winning power-lifter to observant student of the Scriptures, Mark combines several exceptional facets in one personality.

Dr. Keith Yorko

Dr. Yorko was born and raised in Buffalo, New York, where he grew up playing hockey and running track and cross country. During summers he worked with his father in the construction business, which gave him a strong work ethic and an appreciation for a hard day’s labor.

In 1989, Dr. Yorko graduated from the University at Buffalo, where he was honored for academic excellence by receiving the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon award by vote of the faculty of the School of Dental Medicine.

After graduation, Dr. Yorko joined the U.S. Navy and served with the Marine Corps at MCAS El Toro, California. He was part of Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm, treating US and coalition forces. During his tour of duty, he also treated the local population, many of whom had never seen a dentist and had numerous and complex dental needs.

Dr Yorko is still very passionate about dentistry and enjoys practicing and learning from patients. He has called Rochester home since 1998. He has two adult daughters which are his proudest achievement.

When not working, Dr Yorko volunteers with Keeping Our Promise, an organization in Rochester that helps recent Afghan immigrants become acclimated to their new country. He is also involved with numerous veterans’ charities and organizations.

Dr Yorko can also be frequently be seen exercising, being way too meticulous with his lawn and yard, and riding his bike on the canal path.

Tracy

Tracy grew up in Castile and graduated from Letchworth Central. She’s been with Mark Groskin’s dental office for seventeen years.

Jane, RDH

Jane was born in in Rochester, New York and attended Penfield High School and Monroe Community College.

Jane was interested in dentistry from the start. “I wanted to make people feel good about their smile,” she says.

She worked hard to reach that goal, earning an A.A.S. degree in Science, another A.A.S. degree in Applied Dental Hygiene Science, and even additional health training such as CPR Certification.

Jane joined Dr. G’s office in June of 2003.

Jeanine

Jeanine was born in Highland Hospital in Rochester, New York.

She graduated from Gates-Chili High School. It was while working at a dental group practice that Jeanine first met Dr. G. When she later learned that that there was an opening at his dental office, she took it and hasn’t regretted it in the least.

“It’s a pleasure to work here. All the patients love him. We work hard and as a team. It’s a fun place.”

Jennifer

Jennifer earned her Dental Hygiene degree and license in her birthplace, Ohio, in 2004. She graduated from Elyria Catholic High School, then Lorain County Community College with an Associates of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene.

In 2006, she  moved to New York with her family in 2006, and has been a member of the Groskin team, on a part time basis, since 2012 and full time since 2020.

“My family and I like to travel to warm places and spend time watching or playing sports,” says Jennifer. “I’m an avid fan of Ohio State and all Cleveland sports teams. We get back to Ohio to visit family whenever we can.

“Working with Dr. G and Dr.Yorko has been great. This office has a family feel to it. I had been working at my prior office for 14 years and then began working here one day in 2012. I don’t like change. But when my full time dentist retired, as hard as it was to close that chapter and move on, I didn’t have a choice. But my new place of work proved wonderful. Everyone on staff at Dr G’s practice makes you feel at home and relaxed.

“Being a dental hygienist has allowed me to help people learn more about their oral health and how it relates to their overall health. I hope each patient can walk away from each visit having learned one tip from me about improving their oral hygiene. One of my goals is to always try to make my patients comfortable in an environment that is known to cause some level of stress or anxiety. I hope to make every visit to our office a pleasant one.”
